Tessa has been great, shes wonderful. But the way the service manager spoke to me over the phone- unacceptable. When I had initially called to schedule my car to be repaired, I had explained the entire situation I’ve had with this and why I chose to go to Wild West for the repairs - I had brought it to Caliber Collision in Carson City per insurance request, where it sat for two months as they could not find the Chevy emblem and backplate due to a backorder on said part. I called Wild West to confirm that the part can be ordered, and repairs could be done there. I then spoke with my insurance and asked them how this works, and my insurance representative Dylan (775-433-7286) explained that since I paid my insurance deductible ($2k), that I would only have to provide the claim number to you and Progressive would send a check for repairs to your shop. I had called Wild West right away, explained this, and he agreed to order the part and scheduled me to come in. I brought my car in, and was rescheduled to come back while waiting for more parts. So I brought it in again yesterday when the parts got in. I wasn’t informed about payment until they were finished with my car and was told that it won’t be released to me unless payment is made, where I was extremely confused- my insurance was going to cover this and I was under the impression that you only needed the claim number. This is what my insurance told me. This was what I had relayed back to whoever I spoke to at Wild West before even scheduling the appointment, it was my understanding we were all on the same page. The service manager was not on the same page. I told the manager I am coming to get my car, and he simply would not let me explain nor would he listen. I have two babies at home, I can’t be without a car. To say the least, the way he spoke to me makes me never want to come back. In fact, he told my husband when he had picked up the car last night - that you guys won’t be doing service with us anymore. We BOUGHT the car from Wild West just a few months back. We’ve sent our friends to buy here. We were looking forward to buying a new truck from here soon. All of this over just $279.12? My husband did pay for it, and he spoke with the service manager. But yikes, the charm turns off once you’ve already bought the car I guess. I can’t fathom why a business would ever treat a customer this way. I

I was a bit frustrated because while on the road, I had a check engine light come on. I took the vehicle to O'Reilly Auto Parts and they did a diagnosis for me and gave me the print out. I was concerned because we were on our way to Oklahoma and I did not know if I needed to have it repaired prior to heading on or if I could wait until I returned. The employee was unsure so he sent me to a mechanic in town with a great reputation and better diagnostic machine. He also checked it and confirmed it was what was on the printout from O'Reilly. He told me there was no need for an immediate fix but that I could continue on my trip and schedule service for sometime after I returned home. In spite of the depressed nature of this town in Arizona, both places did the diagnosis for free and asked for nothing in return. I purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the truck from you so I was hoping the repair would be included. Of course it was not. That seems to be the nature of these extended warranties. I live closer to Gardnerville than Yerington so most of my service is done with a mechanic there. However, I've purchased six vehicles from you over the years and wanted to give you a try so while I was on the road I called and made an appointment for service when I returned. When I got back and dropped the truck off for service, the email I got the next day suggested there would be a charge of $150 for the diagnosis. I questioned the charge as I had dropped off the printout of the diagnosis with the truck. I was told the email was incorrect, the charge for the diagnosis would be $189. This was very frustrating to me and was obviously an exorbitant gouge! The email also said I would be charged $139 for my diesel oil change when you had a sign out front for all to see that advertised $99 diesel oil changes. In addition, I paid for a rotation. When I came to pick up the vehicle, the TPS readings were not coming up and I happened to check the tires and it appeared to me the rotation had not been done. I was frustrated to say the least. All that said, Tessa was able to help me navigate through all this. She was incredibly patient with me and ensured everything was remedied. I left the dealership satisfied, however, had Tessa not been my direct contact I'm not sure how things would have turned out. You better hang on to her. Because I've done so much business with you over the years on the dealership side and the experiences have been so good, I am writing this one off as the exception and not the rule.
